Personalized psychiatric care

Psychiatric Evaluation

A thoughtful review of your mental health concerns, history, and goals to help guide appropriate next steps in care.

What is a psychiatric evaluation?

An evaluation is a conversation with a psychiatric provider about your current concerns and overall health. It can help clarify what you are experiencing and whether medication management, another service, or additional support may be appropriate.

What to expect

Your provider may ask about symptoms, when they began, how they affect daily life, your medical and mental health history, current medications, sleep, and personal goals. There will be time to ask questions and discuss possible next steps.

Preparing for your appointment

  • Bring a list of current medications and relevant allergies.
  • Note the concerns or symptoms you would like to discuss.
  • Bring relevant medical or mental health history, if available.
  • Have your insurance information ready when requesting an appointment.
